For the past 3 years, the Panthers Warriors have competed in the 24 Hour UltraSkate as a 4-person relay team to raise money to continue the efforts of the Panthers Warriors Hockey Program and “Healing Through Hockey”.
This year, Co-Founder of the Panthers Warriors Hockey Program, Gary Roskin, will be SUP-paddling on his Hamboard Huntington Hop around the 1.46-mile oval at the Homestead Miami Speedway solo for the 24-hour event.
Gary’s goal is to set the IDSA record for most miles in the SUP category’s 60+ division. Currently, there is no record in the division, however, his personal goal is at least 100 miles in the 24 hour marathon. To support his efforts and the program, we are asking for your financial support benefiting two worthy causes: the Panthers Warriors Hockey Program and Veterans Advocacy Services.
The Panthers Warriors Hockey Program is first and foremost about helping our veterans “Heal Through Hockey”. Veterans Advocacy Services is dedicated to providing services to any veteran of the United States Armed Forces toward the resolution of any medical, economic, social, or situational dilemma that they might face.
When our Co-Founder, Gabe Accardi returned from his military service, Gabe had a 100% Disability Rating from the V.A. He reached out to Maragarett “Peggy” Mathews and her team of professionals at Veterans Advocacy Services. They provided Gabe with the support and resources critical to his successful assimilation into civilian life, allowing him to pursue his dream of founding Panthers Warriors Hockey. The Panthers Warriors recognize the service Peggy and her team provide to Veterans “in need” and we want to support their efforts in helping other Veterans – in the way they helped Gabe.
You can help by making a one-time event donation or a per-mile pledge. Gary is confident he will reach the 100-mile mark, so an example pledge of $1 per mile will result in a $100 donation contribution. However, if Gary exceeds his 100 mile mark, the donation amount will rise.
All donations are tax-deductible as both organizations are registered 501(c)(3) tax exempt by the IRS.
